Dry Gulch Lodge

It was a wild #throwbackthursday on today’s caravan. After entering Dry Gulch Lodge, you are transported back in time. Built in the early 1960’s, the lodge is filled with animal print, plaid, checkered décor, and mirrors the psychedelic era having a strong influence by rock n’ roll, sex, and drug use.  The lodges’ Cadillac Night Club has a groovy dance floor surrounding a disco ball. This flamboyantly retro house appears to have come right out of an Austin Powers movie. The 60’s era, after all, was not called “The Swinging Sixties” for nothing. “Oh Behave”.

Les Moonves buys Paul Allen’s mansion on ‘Billionaires Beach’

It’s been a good week for CBS president and CEO Les Moonves.
After signing Stephen Colbert to succeed David Letterman on “Late Night — trumping the CNN upfront presentation with the announcement — Moonves is moving to “Billionaires Beach.”
Page Six has exclusively learned Moonves has bought Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen’s home on Malibu’s prestigious Carbon Beach for $28 million.
Allen bought the gorgeous, white-walled and glass modern oceanfront house for $25 million in 2010.
But a source said Allen “hated the sound of the ocean” because it kept him awake at night and spent very little time there. Carbon is dubbed “Billionaires Beach” because Oracle CEO Larry Ellison owns nearly two dozen properties there, and it’s also home to entertainment mogul David Geffen, DreamWorks’ Jeffrey Katzenberg and moguls Eli Broad and Haim Saban. Moonves already has a Holmby Hills mansion, which he’ll keep, and use the beach house as a weekend
